Brandan is grateful to have found the work that is her passion of partnering with parents and guardians to pass on the Catholic faith to the next generation.  One of her favorite verses is Psalm 78:4 which says, “We will not keep them from our children; we will tell the next generation about the LORD’s power and his great deeds and the wonderful things he has done.”

She believes that with a strong spiritual foundation, the child can discover God’s love for them and appreciate the anchor that the Church provides them in this world as they grow and develop into the best version of herself/himself.

Brandan has spent extensive time teaching, loving, caring for and shaping the lives of children, through work both at schools and churches.  Prior to moving to Louisville in 2013, she served as Director of Junior Kindergarten at New Hope Christian Academy in Memphis, TN as well as Director of Children’s Ministry at Fellowship Memphis Church.  She worked at St. Margaret Mary in Louisville as Director of Children’s Formation and Godly Play Coordinator 2014-2019.  She joined St. Raphael in 2019 and opened the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Atrium for our school (Pre-K through 5th grade) and parish children.  The Atrium is her “happy place” as she considers it a privilege to be with the children as they learn about and fall in love with God. She earned her Bachelor of Education from the University of Kentucky.

Brandan is married to Jason Holbrook and they are grateful for this season of raising their three children, Trevor, Reece and Meredith.   In her spare time, you will find Brandan cheering on her children at their sporting events as well as riding her bike at Louisville parks.  Brandan finds great inspiration from the life of Blessed Mother Teresa, especially her quote, “Not all of us can do great things, but we can do small things with great love.”
