Josh grew up in Louisville as a member of the former Mother Good Counsel Parish. He graduated in 2008 from Trinity High School where he was the recipient of the Harry Hill Award, a prestigious award voted by the faculty, his senior year. After Trinity, he enrolled at Western Kentucky University. After 2 years in Bowling Green, Josh felt called to discern what he really wanted to do in life to fulfill his purpose, so he moved back home.

During the period of discernment, he was invited to lead a small group at the Archdiocese of Louisville’s Christian Leadership Institute in 2012. This ultimately led to his start in a career in ministry of the Catholic Church. Josh took 2 years of classes with the Archdiocese of Louisville to obtain his Certification in Youth Ministry. He was hired as the Director of Youth Ministry in Jeffersontown, KY where he served from 2013 to 2021. In his tenure at St. Edward, he built and oversaw an extremely successful and thriving Youth Ministry and Confirmation program. On the side from St. Edward, he obtained another Certification in Youth Ministry from the University of Dayton and his Master Catechist from the Archdiocese of Louisville.

In 2021, Josh decided to step away from St. Edward to join the wonderful St. Raphael Catholic Community. He currently is the Middle School Religion Teacher and one of two Youth Ministry Coordinators, alongside Mr. Chad Bader.

Josh received a national honor in 2020, Catechist Magazine’s “TOP 10 Catechist Honoree”. https://www.catechist.com/2020-catechist-honors-meet-top-10-honorees/
