Chad grew up in in Louisville where he attended St. Paul Elementary School, St. Xavier High School, and Bellarmine University earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theology.

Planning to teach after college, in December 2007 he instead begin working in youth ministry at St. James Catholic Church in Elizabethtown, KY. After spending five years working with 7th-12th graders, he felt called to a new challenge. In January 2013 Chad began his journey in education working at DeSales High School teaching senior Theology and being the Director of Campus Ministry.

While at DeSales full time, Chad began working part time at St. Martha Catholic Church building a youth ministry program and completed his Masters in Religious Education from Loyola University in New Orleans. 

In the summer of 2018, Chad opted to leave behind two jobs to come work full time at St. Raphael. After working a year, falling in love with the community and families at St. Raphael, he felt called back to the classroom. In August 2019 he became the retreat director and a freshman Theology teacher at his alma mater remaining at St. Raphael part time.
