Deacon Denny has been married to Teresa for 45 years. They have two children and three grandchildren. He grew up in the South End of Louisville, attended St. Lawrence, and Bishop David (now Holy Cross) High School. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from Spalding University.

Deacon Denny worked in the construction equipment rental industry for 39 years. He retired from United Rentals as a District Manager in 2016.

He was ordained by Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz to the diaconate on August 25th, 2012.

Deacon Denny served as deacon at Good Shepherd in Portland (2012-2017). In 2017, he began his current assignment at St. Raphael the Archangel.

In May of 2016, Deacon Denny was appointed by Archbishop Kurtz to serve in his current role as Director of the Office of the Diaconate for the Archdiocese of Louisville. 

Since his ordination in 2012, Deacon Denny has been serving as a volunteer Catholic Chaplain at the Kentucky State Reformatory in La Grange, KY.
